Our
chaplains are experienced, dedicated men and women serving
as missionary chaplains. They serve to assist both the
incarcerated population and prison staff, by ministering
to, sharing a kind word, giving a listening ear, and
caring for them. It is not uncommon for our chaplains
to serve long hours each week, all for the purpose of
seeing one soul come to Christ.
The continual
ministry of our chaplains includes a wide variety of
responsibilities. Each chaplain serves faithfully at
his institution each week providing new convert's classes,
discipleship classes, soulwinning, evangelism, Bible
studies, and counseling.
Much like a local
pastor who witnesses door to door, our missionary chaplains
are busy in the dorms, walking from cell to cell, out
on the recreation yard, or down at the weight pile giving
out Bibles, New Testaments, and Gospel literature to
those interested. A very important part of a chaplain's
ongoing ministry consists of being on-call 24 hours
a day in case of emergencies within the prison, often
dealing with death messages and urgent situations.
Please pray for the Rock of Ages Chaplains and Families.
They are striving to make a difference in the souls
of men and women behind prison bars. |
