The Lovely Ladies is a two-fold ministry of Rock of Ages Ministries, reaching out to women prisoners with the Gospel as well as women in the free world who have incarcerated family members. We have the "Help for the Hurting Christmas Project" for the women prisoners accompanied with the Lovely Lady Family Ministry to women who have incarcerated family members. The "Help for the Hurting Christmas Project" is held throughout the year. We distribute yearly Christmas Stockings to over 2,400 women prisoners. Each Christmas Stocking is filled with personal hygiene items, but most importantly contains Gospel Literature and New Testaments. All of which, resulting in many coming to know the Lord as their personal Saviour. The majority of these ladies will not attend any "Religious Service" so, this is our means of "Reaching the Lost at any Cost". When a prisoner receives a Christmas Stocking it enables us to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to every Female Prisoner Incarcerated in that facility. If you would like to be a part of this great witnessing tool, please contact us here at the Home Office and we will gladly show you how you can help by sewing Christmas Stockings and/or purchasing items to include in these stockings.
The Lovely Ladies Family Ministry is intended for women who have incarcerated family members. Meetings are held on a weekly basis reaching out to those ladies who are faced with new oppositions and circumstances that sometimes can be unbearable, especially without the Lord. We have found if a wife is discipled along with her husband, upon his release date, they are more likely to serve the Lord and stay faithful to God. |

To Whom it may concern: (Churches)
I and my roommates just want to say thank-you so very much for your gifts to us during the Holidays. That was so wonderful to think about us. Because we are felons that does not mean we are not human beings and you (all) showed us that there are still Gods people that give from their hearts during the holidays since we cannot be with our families, you all are our families and for that we all thank-you from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless you and your families during this Blessed Holiday.
Rock of Ages Ministry,
I would like to thank you so very much for bringing us those wonderful stockings. I feel blessed to get a gift from you. It does make a difference. I also feel blessed that I ended up here. To have a chance to get right with God! I can't wait to be with my Family but while I'm away I'm happy to have people like you coming in here sharing and caring for people like me. This blank stationary is one of the items I received in my stocking. I decorated it to send to you. God bless you.
To Whom it may concern:
My names is L. Fisk and I'm just writing to give my thanks, for the stockings you made for all of us lady's at the Washington Correction Center for Women at Purdy. It was very much appreciated, for a lot gets nothing and we are very grateful for your time and caring for us women. Bless you all. Merry Christmas to all. Thank you so much.
I want to give you II Cor 8:3-5 - "For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God." I thank God for his grace and mercy. Because of his love he put it upon your hearts to share with us this Christmas season. I would like to thank you and your congregation for acknowledging his request by presenting the W.C.C.W with the beautiful Christmas Stockings. I also very much enjoyed the services held on Wednesday evening. The message was enlightening and the care and togetherness most touching. I humbly ask that you continue to pray for the women here as well as myself. The gifts inside the stockings were greatly appreciated. God loves you and so do I.

Rock of Ages:
I just wanted to thank ya'll for all you did for CCA Silverdale Prisoners and showing us that Jesus Chris is real and that there are people out there who do care about us and love us and that we can trust the words, ya'll say, because the Bible says it, too. And for some of us that means a lot, a person's word, but this is God's Word.
I want to especially thank Peggy & Terry Ellis because on Nov. 03, 2005. I gave my life to the Lord and their service made me realize I wanted to be like Jesus Christ and that I wanted to get better in life to be able to help others and because of them, I do have life that lasts forever. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We all do appreciate everything just some more than others. Not just for the gifts but for the Word also. Anything and everything you would like to share with me would be appreciated and helpful. Thank you for letting us know about God and that we can trust His Word. He will never let us down, He says this in His Word.
My favorite verse is Hebrews 13:8 " Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Thanks for your time and concern.
Love Always, Your Sister in Christ, Crystal
"I want to thank you for all your help and donations toward the Christmas stockings. This has renewed my faith in God, Jesus, and all humanity. Without receipt of this stocking I would not get anything all year."
...Christine, Mary & Emily
"Thank you for shedding some light in this cold dark place and bringing the stockings for us."
...Sandra
This lady drew a beautiful scenic picture on her envelope (see next months newsletter!) and writes. "Thank you for not giving up on us, showing you care means so much. Please thank all the ladies for their sacrifices to help US! We pray God will bless each of them in a great way this year.

LOVELY LADY FAMILIES SONG: "LOVELY LADY SONG" |
| |
|
|
|
Lovely Ladies get together every Tuesday Evening,
They laugh and sing and do their thing and it is never boring.
Lovely Ladies keep it up. Lovely Ladies dandy, mind the music
and their friends and it is ever enjoying. Oh, I'm a Lovely Lady dandy.
A Lovely Lady, yes I am. A real live member of this special group
sweeping across our land. I once was sad but now I'm happy,
meeting with the Ladies. Oh, I love the Lovely Lady plan.
Lyrics sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle

LOVELY LADY POEM |
| |
|
|
|
My cry is faint but it is very real so I sit and I
wonder how long before my cries are heard. I'm
locked away and no one recognizes me. My
husband stood before the judge and was sentenced.
I stood before no judge and I am locked in a prison
that has no bars, no guards, no meals paid for, no
shelter paid for, no clothes paid for.
No, your tax dollars do not pay for my housing, my food, or my clothes.
I have been convicted by family, friends,
and neighbors who know of the crime.
No one restricts my phone calls, no one limits my physical activity,
no one wakes me in the morning. I struggle each day
to rise and work a job to maintain home and babies.
I live the lie of "Where's your husband?"
or "What kind of work does your husband do?"
or I just completely ignore the questions.
As I walk through the day, I can't recognize the
other prisoners because I wear different clothes than
my fellow inmates. I'm afraid of being seen
because I carry the load of the crime I didn't
commit. Society shuns me, society judges me and I
have no where to go. There is no open ground for
me to roam and be free. Yes, I too am a prisoner.
A prisoner by choice, a prisoner not tried by the
courts for a crime, a prisoner who willingly locked
the cell door when the cell door closed on my husband.
My cries come from a far distant place, but the cry
is real and there. Because I am there, I am the
forgotten prisoner.
