“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” - II Corinthians 4:5

AFTERCARE MINISTRY

For over a decade, Rock of Ages Ministries has helped inmates reintegrate from prison into society through our Shoulders Program. After much prayer and considering the great need for aftercare, by faith, Rock of Ages Ministries expanded its ministry to include aftercare for released inmates.

For ten years now, Rock of Ages Ministries has helped released inmates through its aftercare facility in the country of Romania. Through these aftercare facilities which include a farm the ministry has been successfully reintegrating released inmates into society. Many families have been helped so far and it is the ministry's desire to establish aftercare facilities in the United States as well.

Twenty three acres of land have been donated to the ministry in the state of Pennsylvania for the purpose of opening up an aftercare facility in that state. In the state of Tennessee, work is in progress to establish an aftercare ministry to reach released female inmates ages fifty and up. Prayers were answered when a Christian lady surrendered to the Lord's calling in May 2006 to do this work in Cleveland, Tennessee. Please revisit our site to learn about future developments of this ministry.

The building of the home was completed in December 2007 and God already called a missionary, Mrs. Margaret Watson, to serve in the aftercare ministry. Much prayer, planning, and work has gone into the development of the aftercare program in Cleveland, Tennessee over the past two years and the facility is ready for its first resident.

The original desire of the ministry was to provide aftercare to elderly women inmates; however, God moved into a different direction. He is bringing the first resident to the aftercare facility from The Lighthouse Children’s Home in Tallahassee, Florida. Miss Rachel Strickland, will move in during the third week of May; she has a heart for serving the Lord and will help in the administrative department. We are grateful for the privilege of investing in the future of a young Christian lady and look forward with great excitement to future opportunities of service.
